This Virtual Listening Session - Energizing and Supporting Female Practitioners, focuses on addressing challenges and identifying strategies to support women in economic development across the state of Kentucky. The session will begin with an overview of the current landscape, discussing the barriers women face and the need for industry growth through increased female representation. Participants will explore mentorship, networking, and policy changes to empower women in leadership roles. The group will discuss KAED's role in fostering a supportive environment for women and encouraging future generations to thrive in the field. The session will conclude with discussions on follow-up actions and future initiatives to continue supporting women in economic development.
