The successful candidate will have five (5) or more years of
experience in the economic development arena working with local/state
governments and businesses involved in job growth and retention. The position
requires a demonstrated ability to identify and attract new and growing
industries, and knowledge of federal/state incentives to business, urban
development initiatives, block grant, industrial revenue bonds, and overall
ability to develop and maintain an overall economic development strategy.
Candidates must also demonstrate participation in continuing education courses
or seminars relevant to economic development. A college degree and a CEcD or
other professional designation is preferred. Position offers a competitive
