KNOWLEDGE,

- Knowledge of utility, transportation,
construction, public parking facilities, management and land development.
- Ability to maintain confidential, financial and
development related information.
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective
working relationships with contractors, residents, developers, utilities,
government agencies, businesses, and community organizations.
- Ability to analyze requests for financial technical
assistance and work with other team members to prepare thoughtful, creative
and persuasive arguments about requested assistance.
- Ability to analyze and interpret best practices
and apply them to Covington
- Ability to create and deliver clear and coherent
presentations to a variety of audiences.
- Ability to manage contracts and consultants
with a variety of subject matter expertise.
EDUCATION
and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Work
requires specialized knowledge in a professional or technical field, Work requires
professional level of knowledge of a discipline equivalent to that which
is acquired in a bachelor’s degree-level of study. Equivalent combination
of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
- Education
is not limited to traditional baccalaureate programs and may include related
work experience industry certifications and evidence of a related professional
development achievements.
- Three
(3) years of experience in development, construction, parking system
management, utility planning and supervisory management, or a combination
of education and relevant experience.
CERTIFICATES,
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Possess and maintain a valid driver’s
license.
Parking Certification (CAPP or CPOP)
desired or should be attained within 3 years.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific
and technical journals, land use regulations, reports, and legal documents. Ability
to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies,
or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches, articles for
publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively
present information to top management, public groups, and/or a board of
directors.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability
to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole
numbers, fractions and decimals. Ability to work with mathematical concepts
such as probability and statistical inference. Capacity to compute areas,
ratios, and percentages, also able to create and interpret various types of
graphs and site plans.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability
to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Capability to apply common sense.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED
HOURS OF WORK:
This
is a full-time position. Days and hours
of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm. Evening, weekend or hours adjustments may be
required as job duties demand.
